A Geoff BRADFORD(who else?) hat trick on 6th Sept 1954 gave Rovers a victory over LIVERPOOL at Eastville with a crowd of nearly 26,000. 9 days later The Pirates visited Anfield, scored 3 (HOOPER 2, BAMFORD), but let in 5!
